Welcome To EADOC

1967 Ford F-100 1/2 Ton

This is a fun project I have been thinking about for some time.  I located this bump side truck in Arizona and purchased it in December 2017. It was owned by Brooks Hasting.  He had a few to many projects going on and had put it up for sale.  You just can't find a truck with this little rust in Kansas.  Brooks was very accurate in how he presented the truck and it has turned out to be a perfect fit for what I have been wanting in a fun vehicle.

My good friend Herb Ross who built my RV-3 in the mid 1990's was kind enough to go inspect the truck, facilitate the purchase, & help me arrange shipping.

A long time patient & friend Steve Mikulicz is modernizing

the truck and building a suspension to give it a completely modern ride.  His company is Extreme Off Road LLC.  He has built many vehicle over the years but specializes in old Broncos and rock crawlers.  We both like the patina so the paint will be left as you see it now.

When the truck arrived it was a bit of a surprise to find even less rust than what Brooks had described.  The Arizona sun may have been tough on the paint but it was pretty good for the metal.

As for the chasis, up front it was modified the Scott's Hotrods Front Steer Weld-On IFS with coilovers.  For the rear we went with their adjustable 4-Link with coilovers.  The rear end is a 3.73 posi from an Explorer.  All 4 corners were matched with a 5 Bolt 4.5" Pattern.  Front wheels are 20"x8.5".  Rear wheels are 20"x10".   We purchased a 2012 Ford F-150 for its 5L Coyote & 6R80 6 speed transmission. From the factory it produces 360 hp @ 5500rpm. Power Steering is by KRC.  The engine harness is the 6R80 Control Pack from Power By the Hour.
