I suppose these comments will be read by just a handfull of people who take a look at the pictures from the Class 4 Cross Country Championship. 2 State Championships in 3 years. Quite impressive. I remember in 2008 the excitment watching Michael Neisius lead the team to an 11th place finish. The big news back then was having qualified for State 2 consecutive years in a row! I had to look it up, but 2008 was just the 6th time Rockhurst had qualifed to send a team to state. Now the team has qualified 12 years in a row. Kudos to the runners who continue to set the bar high and do the difficult, sometimes painful work to make this happen. At the same time it is so moving to see Coach Dierks rewarded for his efforts with another State Championship. His efforts and determination span over 20 years!
