N4356R Beegles Aircraft Service
N4356R is a 1976 Cessna A185F. It was originally purchased by Romane Matthias from Cresco, IA. The FAA paperwork says it changed hands on April 21, 1976. He owned the airplane for 38 years until he sold it to L & L Aircraft Sales on September 10, 2014.
I have talked to Romane on the phone and we plan to meet up some day. I did ask him how the airplane stayed so pristine and corrosion free. He mentioned that hanger he built was elevated about 4 feet and had good drainage. It was important to him that the hanger floor did not form condensation.
56R was annualed August 30, 2014. The AFTT was 543. The Tach was also 543.
Between September 2014 and June 2017 56R received some upgrades and modifications. In December of 2014 a Garmin G500 Integrated Avionics System was installed. In June 2015 the aircraft was painted and a new interior was installed.
On June 23, 2017 the aircraft was damaged during a runway excursion at Henderson Executive Airport (Las Vegas, NV). Landing on 35L the aircraft exited the runway to the left and encountered gravel on declining terrain. 56R nosed over and came to rest inverted.
BAS Parts Sales, LLC of Greeley, CO purchased N4356R on October 2, 2017.
